Come to the ERE Conference in Leeuwarden.

On March 8, 2006, the European Commission issued the “Energy” Green Paper laying out its energy strategy for Europe, which is to strike a balance between sustainable development, competitive capacity and the continuous supply of energy. The European regions are particularly well placed to make an essential contribution to implementing this strategy.

Programme
Wednesday, April 5, 2006 – Regional initiatives and cooperation
The spotlight today will be on regional initiatives and cooperation. Five workshops and three excursions are scheduled, during which you can exchange know-how and experiences with your colleagues.

Thursday, April 6, 2006 – Achieving objectives
On Thursday you can meet with representatives of regional and national governments to discuss how to strengthen regional cooperation so that the ambitious objectives put forward in the "Energy" Green Paper can actually be achieved.
